I tried finding you or your company on Twitter. That is one way to promote your webinar. Let me know if you want to chat about other ways … =)

  2. Csalmonlee, http://search.twitter.com/search?q=demandbase worked pretty well for me just now. :)
So, Jason, let’s chew on this. We’re just starting to explore what we’ve been calling “lead nurturing,” as opposed to post-click marketing. Others are using the term; there’s a tiny Wikipedia piece about it.
Our thinking started with what your leading question cites (“convert n% and forget the rest?”) and realizing that was silly because in B2B it’s a long selling cycle and there’s plenty of opportunity to impress someone and educate them long before they’re ready to buy. I mean, we succeeded in showing up in their initial search; discard them?? I don’t think so.
I’ve been calling them “the not yet ready” but “post click” is a lot catchier, I must say.
Got any pre-reading I can do? I know enough to know there are several companies out there doing it, but I don’t have a clue how to differentiate them. Without letting the cat out of the bag on the webcast itself, you could post a thing or three, topics for us to think about.
Like, in our business, enterprise-scale appointment scheduling systems, there are a few low-rent simple competitors; but our prospects need to think about whether there are underlying rules about which people and facilities can be used for a given appointment. So when my new blog starts up :) , that’s the sort of thing I’ll post about, before a particular webcast.
So: given that I’m ignorant about the space you’re in, teach. What makes a difference?

  3. hey yall:
I saw a Tweet from you saying you’d been having trouble with TypePad. Let me know if there’s anything at all I can do to help you out.
