Great post over at the LeadSloth blog….Why Are Marketing Automation Managers So Hard to Find?
With tight marketing budgets and marketers wearing more hats it's especially interesting to see a marketing automation job description laid out like this. A great description to pull together your job requirements for the position that is opening up, or a great blueprint on what you need to learn how to do to make yourself more valuable. Great discussion in the comments area as well, especially about the science of marketing automation vs. the art, because while it is one
thing to know how to launch a campaign and track the results, it is
still another to be able to write the copy or create the offer that
people will respond to.
Nice post, Jep!

Looks a nice post which having lots of information for blog readers.
I just checked out the site you linked from “Why Are Marketing Automation Managers So Hard to Find?” and I find it very useful. I think once we have recovered from recession, we can also recover from low marketing budgets.
Businesses limit prospective candidates by using terms and job descriptions that are confusing and unrealistic. Mixing technical and business skill set requirements together is suicide. Most people are one or the other, but not both. Separate roles of managing revenue generation from writing copy. If you merge the two, then you’re once again mixing skill set requirements. Find yourself a writer, help them understand your business, and let them crank out your copy while the new hire focuses on revenue generation using lead generation, marketing automation, lead scoring and lead nurturing.
Businesses will benefit from candidates with strong social and business skills in this type of role. To make marketing automation projects successful the candidate must be focused on the end goal, driving more revenue. Thanks for highlighting the original post.
Just read the link or post you have shared and I find it really helpful and informative. People would know what skills they need to learn or improve if they want to have that kind of job.
